<description>The International Energy Agency Thursday said that world oil demand growth would increase in 2009, based on the assumption that the global economy would gradually recover in the second half of the year. January crude futures are currently up 5 percent to $45.68 a barrel. U.S. index futures were flat on Thursday, as investors watched whether to see a government plan to provide aid to the ailing auto industry would pass. The bill passed in the House of Representatives but its prospects face headwinds in the Senate. Dow Jones industrial average futures DJc1 rose 10 points while S&amp;P 500 futures SPc1 were flat and Nasdaq 100 futures NDc1 were up 7.75 points.
